COFFEE CONCENTRATE

DESCRIPTION

The coffee concentrate is a product obtained from the mucilage or mesocarp of the coffee, extracted by the vacuum dehydration method achieving a product without nutritional damage, high digestibility and palatability.

COMPOSITION

Its dry extract consists almost entirely of amino acids and reducing and non-reducing sugars, as well as polyphenols and phenolic acids characteristic and responsible for the antioxidant activity of our product.

ANTIOXIDANT PROPERTIES

The coffee concentrate has a high content of polyphenols, corresponds to 200Eq. Mg Gallic acid / mg extract, the presence of these polyphenolic compounds is significant compared to that found in coffee and tea drinks.

Phenolic compounds are products of secondary metabolism of plants, these include the hydroxyninic acids where chlorogenic acid is found, it has been shown to be a free radical scavenging and works synergistically with other antioxidants in counteracting the effects of oxidative stress.
